Here is my drawing of Alcol as a pup; this is now on the front cover of my newly edited manuscript. He is one of the main characters in my book; 'The Beast from Bogrims Marsh'. He grows up to be a very large dog. His owner is taken ill and a younger woman takes advantage of his hospitalisation, she moves into his cottage from her flat and claims to be  his owners live in partner, the owners son and friends need to evict her out of his cottage before he comes home  from hospital. The other problem is that she has sent the dog miles away from home to a rehoming kennels, so, they need to get him back. He is treat cruelly by the first new owners and is rescued by a manic dog loving vet who rehomes him again with two dotty spinster sisters who run a cottage industry making doggy clothing. they dress him up in a tam-o'-shanter hat and tartan trousers, he runs off from their advertising photo shoot in full rig, as he follows his ancestral instincts by going off in pursuit of rabbits.
Follow his adventures when he makes for home raiding animal pens on farms and large Estates belonging to the Lords of the land, he is pursued by irate farmers and land owners, plus everyone who owns a gun, or hunting dogs, who are into blood sports.
As Alcol has rolled in cow doo-doo -as doggie's do do-, all kinds of flora and fauna adhere to the muck that looks like a shell when it dries; especially through the lens of a cheap shaky camera held by a nervous young man, standing at a safe distance. When he sells the photo to the press they do what they usually do; they spread rumours about a beast at large.  If you love dogs as much as I do you will love this story, you will cry; a little, and laugh a lot.
